Post-Harvest Handling and Packing Shed Design

Family Farmed and MOFGA partner to offer two back-to-back, day-long post-harvest safety and efficiency workshops with Atina Diffley. Day 1 focuses on post-harvest handling, the cold chain and efficiency of systems, quality and safety throughout the process: harvest, cleaning, cooling, packing, storing, transport. Produce Safety Training

This one-day training course is for produce growers. The Produce Safety Rule, which is part of the new federal Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), requires that fruit and vegetables farms that grow, pack, harvest and/or hold produce and that do not qualify for an exemption or exclusion from the Rule attend this training. All growers interested in learning about produce safety, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and the FSMA Produce Safety Rule are encouraged to attend.

Analyzing Forage Quality for Grazing Cows
