Factsheet Helps Farms Prepare for Flooding
The University of Vermont (UVM) Extension published a two-page factsheet, Preparing Farms for Potential Flooding, that offers guidance on steps farmers can take to reduce potential losses and speed recovery from flooding. UVM Extension is also posting reports from projects funded after last year’s flooding to better understand the state’s recovery and response. The “One Year After the Flood” posts currently available address resilience in agriculture and gaps in disaster assistance for farmers.
