Grasslands Partnership Helps Southeastern Producers Improve Forage Productivity

The Grasslands Partnership is a USDA-NRCS-funded program led by the University of Tennessee and Extension Service partners across nine southeastern states within the tall fescue belt. The Partnership will work with 30 partners and 200 collaborating farms to improve the productivity of forage-based farms in the region. The Partnership invites producers with grazing livestock to enroll in the program and implement specific grasslands management practices on their farms. A stipend of $800 is offered for each practice producers implement, as well as a per-acre payment.
