Internship information
General Farm Description: "Oz Farm and Retreat Center is hidden in a quiet, private valley on one of the most pristine stretches of the scenic Mendocino County coast, 130 miles north of San Francisco. Bordered with redwood forest, and with the Garcia River running through its 240 acres, Oz Farm is blessed with tranquility, fresh air and clear water. Oz Farm is 'off-the-grid', using solar and wind power for all its operations. For over 50 years, Oz has changed and grown from a commune to an organic farm and retreat facility. The farm changed ownership in March of 2015 which has brought new life, fresh energy and a passion to grow not only as a business but as a community too! One of Oz Farm?s core missions is to educate and train a new generation of sustainable farmers. Our apprenticeship program provides space for humans to live healthier lives while contributing to our local food system."
