General Farm Description: Located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada, 30 miles northeast of Sacramento, Natural Trading Co is a 40-acre organic mixed-vegetable farm, orchard, and micro-greens greenhouse. We sell our produce at farmers’ markets in the Sacramento foothills and Tahoe/Truckee areas, in addition to deliveries to local supermarkets, co-ops, and distributors.CRAFT Member Farm? No

The Natural Trading Company Organic Farm is looking for bright, enthusiastic, hard-working people to help with field work. We are looking for candidates who are motivated, dependable, and able to work quickly and efficiently with the physical stamina to work long days outside in challenging weather.
This is a paid hourly position with farm food available in abundance. We’re looking for someone who is interested in seasonal full-time employment to start immediately through November. Work days start at about 6:00am at the height of the summer. We are in Newcastle, so please consider your commute distance if you are local. Educational Opportunities: Learn how a larger small-scale organic farm operates -- from vegetables and fruit to greenhouse microgreens production. We have been successfully farming for over 25 years.
Skills Desired: Relevant experience includes agriculture, construction, kitchen, or other high-paced work experience. The ideal candidate is someone with a high work drive who is looking for organic farming experience at a successful 25+ year farm business. You should be comfortable working in extreme weather including cold and wet conditions in the early spring and high heat in the summer, and be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Candidates should enjoy working outside, enjoy physical work, and keeping up the pace. We depend on everyone to show up regularly and reliably to keep up with the demands of diversified vegetable farming. A passion for organic food and farming are a big plus.

Stipend: These are paid hourly positions with farm food available in abundance. $16-$18 hourly dependent on experience.
