Internship Details:
The intern position will be responsible for the full range of produce growing activities.
- Seeding new plant starts in the greenhouse
- Direct seeding crops in the field
- Bed preparation, including tillage, cover cropping, compost spreading, amending, and tarping/covering
- Weeding and crop maintenance, pruning, trellising, covering etc.
- Harvesting, packing and storing crops for market
- Crop residue cleanup
- Attending Farmers market
- Selling at the on farm stand
- Feeding and caring for chickens
Educational Opportunities: - Learn the full life cycle of crop production - Learn the care of perennial berry plants
