Internship information
General Farm Description: We are a small you pick farm with a farmstand and 25 member spring CSA. We grow strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, asparagus, rhubarb and a large mix of cut flowers, wildflowers and dahlias. We have a greenhouse for propagation and a 72’ high tunnel. We have 50 laying hens that we rotate through the farm and plan to add kune kune pigs spring of 2026.

Internship Ends: October 31st, 2026 (maybe longer if needed)
Number of Internship Available: 1 (potentially a partner/spouse could be employed part time in the pizza operation, farmstand register or as a farm employee)

Internship Details:

We are seeking a farmer with 2-3 years of growing experience for a CSA. The person would need to have the knowledge to maintain a 1/4 acre no till plot and 72’ high tunnel using organic practices while working alongside the owners. This job will require an independent person who is highly motivated. You will have the opportunity to manage a budget, purchase supplies, plant seeds, maintain beds, flip beds, harvest, post harvest and fill boxes for member pick up. 

Outside of the market garden there will be opportunities to manage livestock (chickens and pigs), learn plasticulture for strawberry production, caneberry (blackberries and raspberries) maintenance, how to grow asparagus and rhubarb, planting a pumpkin patch and working with Morgan on growing flowers.

Job begins in March and goes through October, with the potential to stay on through the winter months.


Educational Opportunities: We send our farm employees to the Organic Growers School Conference each spring in Asheville, NC.

Meals: One free farm to table pizza each day when we are open for pizza. Any veggies that are seconds are available at no cost.

Stipend: Yes, we pay up to $25 an hour depending on experience (a 40 hour work is standard)

Housing: We will allow you to park a small camper or van on the property once we approve it.
