Internship information
General Farm Description: Speedwell Farm & Gardens is a family run, 2 acre vegetable farm located in Longmont, CO dedicated to organic and regenerative practices in the "small-scale" market garden style. By using principles and techniques from many different schools of thought we are working to define what good land stewardship means in our farming context on the Colorado Front Range. We glean knowledge from organic, regenerative, biodynamic, and permaculture principles to bring the highest quality produce to our chefs and markets, while doing right by the land and increasing soil health in the process. We are a "human-scale" farm meaning we limit heavy machinery in our growing space and rely on hand tools to accomplish the tasks in the field. Our Mission is to create a resilient agricultural system while building a strong and passionate community around local food and land stewardship.
