Internship Details:
We are seeking a reliable, Part-Time Farm Hand to support daily field and harvest operations as part of a small team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Participate in daily farm tasks including bed preparation, seeding, transplanting, and cultivation
- Assist with washing, packing, and storing produce
- Perform regular weeding and crop maintenance by hand and with small tools
- Support nursery tasks such as tray filling, seeding, and watering
- Follow established farm systems and instructions to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, wash/pack area, and workspaces
- Assist with basic farm infrastructure tasks (trellising, row cover, irrigation setup)
- Observe and report crop issues (pests, disease, irrigation problems) to owner
- Work cooperatively with the farm team in all weather conditions
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, is eager to learn market gardening skills, and values sustainable food production.

Educational Opportunities: There will be ample opportunities to learn about operating and building a sustainable market garden. Educational opportunities will exist in heritage crop research, building sustainable infrastructure, solar power installation and operation.
