Internship Details:

We still have one internship position available for the 2022 season! Also available is a a 3-month summer position. Our internship offers an immersive educational farming experience on our beautiful organic produce farm in the Pacific Northwest. We are looking for applicants who will explore with us all aspects of the small-scale veggie business. Established for over 30 years, we sell our farm products at farmers markets, our online farm store, restaurants, and grocery stores. We maintain a reputation of product quality and environmental consciousness.
This internship offers the opportunity to learn and collaborate with us as we evolve our methods for growing, harvesting, processing, and selling. As such, we are looking for passionate individuals with an enthusiasm for a rewarding and challenging work experience. There are no farm-experience requirements for this position, we only stress the importance of being able to work a rigorous work week, being able to lift 50+ pounds, and good interpersonal communication skills.
Farmers, interns, and volunteers work together to create our wonderful farming community. After work, we encourage our interns to escape to the many beaches, trails, and mountains surrounding the Kitsap Peninsula. We are also 50 minutes from downtown Seattle via the nearby ferries.

Educational Opportunities: Curious minds will thrive here where we love answering and exploring questions about food, plants, and what it takes to run an organic farm. Although you will learn the most about the topics you take a particular interest in, all interns will develop skills and knowledge pertaining to: seasonal planting schedules, irrigation, crop-rotations, plant biology, various weed-control techniques including pyro-weeding, washing, bundling, packaging, fruit harvesting, marketing, deliveries and retail sales, and seed germination. We have many optional opportunities that show up at the farm as well including beekeeping, cider making, and several grant-funded construction projects.

Skills Desired: Previous work on a farm is not necessary for this position. Much more important is a positive and enthusiastic attitude! Farming is challenging and plans (especially involving weather) often go awry. A willingness to jump in and unclog problems is one of the key attributes we are looking for. A sense of humor is another essential skill! Weather, pests, leaky hoses, and broken faucets are all a part of farm work. Strong overall resiliency is essential. Organizational skills and time management are also traits we look for. To apply, please provide an outline of your personal goals regarding your interest in working on our farm. Please email a cover letter, resume and three references to

Meals: No meals are provided, but there is access to a fully equipped kitchen in the living space.

Stipend: $1100/month stipend plus shared tips from our retail sales!

Housing: Housing is provided on the farm in our beautiful guesthouse, shared with two interns. Our guesthouse is also a popular Airbnb farm stay experience during our off season.
