ATRA Sustainable Ranch Internship – Live and Learn at White Rock Ranch in Myakka City, FL
Two interns are invited to spend a year immersed in hands-on, self-directed learning on a quiet, sustainable ranch. An RV will be provided for housing, including electric, water, sewer, and internet.
In exchange for 15 hours of weekly work, each intern will gain practical experience in livestock care (cattle and chickens), land and garden stewardship, and basic ranch maintenance. It’s desired for one intern to have experience operating a tractor and working with irrigation. This role is ideal for those pursuing regenerative agriculture, homesteading, or ranch management skills.
Interns must be self-motivated, able to work independently, physically active, able to lift 50 lbs, and must have a car for transportation. A supplemental income source is required; this is a work-for-housing internship with no cash compensation. No meals are provided
The ranch is peaceful and private—perfect for focused learning—yet only 30 minutes from Lakewood Ranch amenities. Minimum 12-month commitment, including summer. Background check required.
