Role Summary: The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive skill set in general landscape and agricultural tasks. This role includes hours of physical labor on a daily basis in all weather conditions. They should exhibit an excellent ability to stay on task, follow directions, and ask questions when needed. They should be able to work independently and also with a team. Most of their time will be spent across the farm and will vary day to day and season to season with the tasks assigned from the General Site Manager or Farm Director.
Responsibilities Include
- Performing general landscape and agricultural work such as weedeating, digging, fence repair, picking up and hauling trash, etc…
- Operation, and care for farm equipment such as excavators, tractors, UTVs, zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, wood chippers, etc
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs + on a limited basis and be able to occasionally work in situations two feet above the floor in a leaned-over or squatted position.
- Help out in other realms of the farm or other site locations when directed by the General Site Manager or Director, including after hours events as needed.
- General understanding of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, stone work, retaining walls, livestock care, or other trades are a plus, but not required.
- We appreciated a capacity for noticing details around the farm and communicating to the manager(s) about issues arising around the farm.
