Internship information
General Farm Description: Pure Grass Farm is currently farming on 120 acres that is built on the belief that good food starts with the land. From our pastures in Troutville, Virginia, we raise over 100 cattle and sheep with intensive management grazing (Adaptive Grazing). We sell direct to the consumer via our shopify website and ship or allow farm pickup of our 100% grass finished beef, 100% Grass finished lamb, and Pasture raised eggs. We do this with care, intention, and respect for the natural systems that sustain them. Our goal is simple: to provide food you can trust, raised the right way, by people who stand behind it. Modern food systems prioritize speed and scale. We prioritize care. By raising animals on open pasture and letting nature lead the process, we’re able to produce food that reflects the health of the land it comes from. Grass, sunshine, fresh air, and time are not shortcuts. They’re essential ingredients in food that tastes better and nourishes more deeply. Our animals spend their lives on pasture, grazing and foraging as nature intended. We manage our land with regenerative principles that support healthier soil, stronger plants, and more resilient ecosystems. Each decision we make is guided by what’s best for the animals, the land, and the families who trust us with their food.
