General Farm Description: Riverbank Farm is in its 34th year of operation. The 45-acre farm is picturesquely situated in the Shepaug River valley in northwestern Connecticut. Our farm is surrounded by land trust. From 14 acres of fertile bottomland soil, three large greenhouses, and two high tunnels, we grow a full variety of seasonal vegetables and cut flowers. We also have a commercial kitchen where we make seasonal organic vegetarian prepared foods and lacto-fermented products for our farmer's markets throughout the year. All our produce is sold at seven Connecticut farmer's markets, natural food stores and local restaurants. We also make hay and compost on our farm. Both David and Laura have a large knowledge base of all aspects of sustainable agriculture. Please visit our website where you can view our farm video entitled, "Meet the Apprentices."
