Job Summary
Our Farm Crew is the hardworking faces behind our beautiful produce and happy customers. This
position involves harvesting, washing and sorting in the pack shed for all the 30+ crops that are grown
on the farm, laborious field tasks such as (but not limited to) weeding, transplanting, laying mulch and
fabric, row cover application, trellising crops and so much more. The position duties will vary
depending on time of year, week, day even hour! Adaptability is a must.
Responsibilities
● Field/Greenhouse related work: seeding, watering, transplanting, weeding, thinning, trellising,
trimming, irrigation assistance, row cover installation, mulch and fabric application
● Harvest related work: harvesting, packing, washing, sorting, storing
● Maintain open communication with Farm Owner/Manager regarding any issues that may arise
● Assist with Vegetable Share Program prep and packing during distribution season.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
● Experience not required but a plus
● Must be able to bend, squat, and lift and move at least 50 pounds
● Ability to work long days of physical work in all weather conditions such as: heat, humidity,
rain, wind, cold, muddy/wet conditions
● Must be able to work as part of a team and the ability to adapt to many situations
● Effective communication and customer service skills
● Strong work ethic and desire to “get the job done!”
● Critical thinking and decision making skills
● Ability to keep up with the pace in order to perform work efficiently, effectively, and safely
● Ability to follow instructions and ask for clarification
● Basic skills involving reading, writing, and math/arithmetic
● Must be detailed oriented and focused
● Reliable, responsible and self-motivated individual who is open to receiving feedback
● General understanding of food safety
● Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Hours
● Seasonal position from early May thru early October. Exact start and end dates determined by
farm labor needs.
● 4 days a week Tuesday – Friday.
● Shift is 7am to 3:30pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch, for a total of 32 hours per week. Start
and end times may fluctuate based on weather and farm labor needs.
Wages
Hourly $10-$15/hour depending on experience. A Small Vegetable Share is offered as well as a $100
farm clothing stipend for work related items. Retirement savings plan is offered and optional. Paid
vacation hours provided starting with 8 hours per season.

Educational Opportunities: The farm has a strong volunteer program and hosts a state apprenticeship position, both of which allow for numerous educational opportunities on the farm through hands on training and skill building.
