Internship information
General Farm Description: Our farm, which is entirely Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth, is 67 acres in total. We cultivate market vegetables on about 4 acres per year. In addition to our fruit orchard, we harvest raspberries and wild blackberries for market sales and for making delicious preserves. We raise Boer goats, Katahdin sheep, and Muskovey ducks for meat and eggs. In addition, the livestock contribute to the biodynamics of this farm by generating a plethora of fertilizer and by keeping weeds and nuisance insects at bay as they graze and forage. We are proud of our conservation efforts on the forested watershed and wetlands on the property, and we plant native vegetation that attracts and sustains native pollinators.
