Maintaining Your Tractor – Changing the Air Filter
Do you know how to replace your tractor air filter? Making sure that good, clean air is part of the burn in your engine helps extend the lifespan of your machine. Let ATTRA Specialist Andy Pressman and Farm and Equipment Educator Shane LaBrake walk you through everything you need to change your air filter.
The tractor that Andy and Shane are working on is a 35 horsepower Ford 1910 from 1985. In this video, they review the simple process of swapping out an air filter. They also discuss the different types of air filters on the market. Being able to perform the routine maintenance on their tractor helps farmers save money in the long run. This video is one of a five-part series, “Maintaining Your Tractor.”
The series was filmed at the Inn at East Hill Farm in Troy, New Hampshire, and was funded through a Specialty Crop Block Grant from the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets, and Food. This video is produced by the National Center for Appropriate Technology through the ATTRA Sustainable Agriculture program, under a cooperative agreement with USDA Rural Development. ATTRA.NCAT.ORG.
