Michigan Announces Specialty Crop Block Grant Recipients

Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) announced the Michigan recipients of USDA’s Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. These grants up to $125,000 enhance the competitiveness of the state’s specialty crops. This year, the program awarded grants for marketing, production, and disease management for a range of specialty crops, including berries, hops, dry beans, asparagus, and more.
