Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative

USDA is accepting applications for funding under the Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative. This program funds high priority integrated projects that will enhance the ability of producers and processors who have already adopted organic standards to grow and market high quality organic agricultural products and to increase resilience in American farming systems. Three different types of grants are available: OREI Workshop Projects up to $75,000, OREI Research Projects with Extension and/or Education Components up to $3.5 million, and OREI Planning Projects up to $50,000 for Assistance in Development of Future OREI Proposals Requiring Multi-regional or Regional Coordination.
