Most producers who decide to sell into the wholesale trade do not have enough product or infrastructure to get the attention of the buyers. They need to join forces with other producers to aggregate product, plan production and satisfy food safety requirements. The ATTRA website presents case studies, tip sheets and other publications about food hubs to show producers how either working with an established hub or starting a new food hub might help them sell into the wholesale marketplace. A detailed feasibility study of a food hub and sample EXCEL templates are also on the ATTRA site for those producers who are interested in creating their own food hub.
