How to Read a Nozzle

Overview

This poster illustrates and explains what the letters and numbers signify on a pesticide spray nozzle. It explains how nozzle selection affects not only the amount of spray applied to a particular area, but also the uniformity of the applied spray, the coverage obtained on the sprayed surfaces, and the amount of drift that can occur.

This project was funded with a Pesticide Alliance Grant from the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) of California in partnership with the University of California Cooperative Extension.
