Sandhills Ranch Internship Program Provides Experience

The Sandhills Ranch Internship Program is accepting applications for its summer program until January 15, 2025, reports Midwest Messenger. The program, facilitated by the Sandhills Task Force, plans to place 10 interns on Nebraska ranches this year, its third in operation. Interns receive a monthly stipend through the program, with housing and partial board provided by the host ranches. The program welcomes all individuals age 19 years or older, including students, non-students, and veterans. “We seek those with a strong interest in ranching, livestock production and rangeland management. Applicants do not need to have a background in ranching; they may be looking to develop skills, gain experience or explore the industry to determine if it’s the right fit for them,” says internship coordinator KyLee Kime.
