Soil Guide Available for Organic Growers
A new online publication, Soils: A Practical Guide for Organic Farmers and Gardeners, is available from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College as the result of a Professional Development Program grant from North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education. The guide provides practical insights for both farmers and gardeners on critical aspects of soil that are particularly relevant to organic growers, including soil testing, fertility management, composting techniques, erosion prevention, and integrating organic practices to foster long-term soil vitality. This resource can be particularly valuable for small-scale operations committed to sustainable growing methods.
