West Virginia Specialty Crop Block Grant

Applications are due January 31, 2025.
The West Virginia Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for Specialty Crop Block Grants to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops in West Virginia. This program assists applicants to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops by:
(1) Leveraging efforts to market and promote specialty crops;
(2) Assisting producers with research and development relevant to specialty crops;
(3) Expanding availability and access to specialty crops; and
(4) Addressing local, regional, and national challenges confronting specialty crop producers.
Specific state priorities are listed online. The program offers $1,000 to $15,000 Micro Grants with no match required; $15,001 to $50,000 – Intermediate Grants requiring a 10% match, and $50,001 to $75,000 Large Grants requiring a 25% match.
