Building a Biochar Retort Kiln

In this video, Energy Corps member Michael Daniel explains how to build a biochar retort kiln during a presentation at the National Center for Appropriate Technology’s SIFT farm in Butte, Montana. He presents the benefits to using biochar as a soil amendment in a garden as well as various materials you can obtain on a budget to build a kiln.
