Feature Story Showcases Benefits of Pasture-Based Dairies
A feature on WBUR’s Here & Now showcased pasture-based dairies and explored some of the benefits they offer. Dairies that graze their cattle cite reduced veterinary bills, price premiums for their products, and environmental benefits such as healthier soil, cleaner water, and wildlife habitat. Cattle fed on pasture produce less milk, but there’s also less feed cost.
