Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a motivated individual eager to gain hands-on experience in commercial, small-scale, sustainable farming. The ideal candidate is excited to learn, works well both independently and as part of a team, enjoys outdoor work in all weather conditions, and can manage a variety of tasks and is able to stay for the entire season, March – November 2025.
Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license
– Non-smoking/vaping
– Ability to lift 40+ lbs
– Willingness to operate farming equipment
– No pets; we have working livestock guardian dogs and farm cats on premises
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will work closely with Hell or High Water Farm, occasionally with two other farms, and will assist at least once a week with Cart before Horse Farm.
Tasks will include:
– Direct seeding, seedling propagation, and tunnel growing
– Weeding, planting, and applying organic amendments, mulch, wood chips, and compost
– Harvesting vegetables and flowers
– Post-harvest handling of vegetables and flowers
– Rotational grazing and pasture management
– Poultry brooder management
– Care of pastured poultry and egg handling
– Carpentry and fence building/repair
– Tractor and small equipment operation
– Working with livestock guardian dogs
– Poultry processing
– Occasionally participate in farm meetings
– Farmers’ market retail sales, as needed
Stipend and Hours:
– Monthly stipend: $1,200 plus housing accommodations
– Approximate hours: 30 per week
During your time off, you can enjoy downtown Enumclaw, just 8 minutes away, or explore the nearby attractions, including Seattle, Tacoma, Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier National Park, and the Cascade Mountains—all within an hour’s drive.

Educational Opportunities: You will develop practical skills and knowledge while working alongside experienced farmers. You will also have opportunities to attend local workshops and classes in the community. Additionally, we offer access to a farming book and resource library, and we encourage discussions on farming topics. There is an office/library and a toilet in the big barn.

Housing: Accommodation: A furnished, pristine 1994 camper van with a bath, shower, kitchen, and two beds (ideal for one person or a couple).*note that we prefer an individual and if you are a couple then the 30 hours would be shared. Power, water and dump fees included. The camper will remain on the farm, with guidance provided on upkeep.
