General Farm Description: Seapuit Farms is a unique, seaside farm specializing in locally grown produce and pasture raised eggs.   Our goal is simple….grown and packaged in Osterville, MA, we take pride in offering our community access to the freshest produce available.

Internship Details:

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking farm intern to join our team for the 2026 growing season. This position is ideal for someone interested in learning hands-on sustainable farming practices while contributing to daily farm operations. The role is primarily field based.

The Farm Intern will assist with vegetable production, general farm maintenance, and occasional animal care. Most of the work takes place outdoors and involves physical labor such as planting, harvesting, and bed preparation (including broad forking). Interns will gain experience in small-scale agriculture and sustainable farming methods.

 Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain vegetable beds
  • Plant, transplant, weed, and harvest crops
  • Wash, pack, and organize produce
  • Assist with irrigation and maintenance
  • Water greenhouses and fields
  • Help maintain farm infrastructure (fences, trellises, tools)
  • Support general farm upkeep and organization
  • Provide occasional care for farm animals (feeding, watering, basic chores)

Other Details:

  • On-farm housing provided
  • Seasonal position, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Weekend work may be required

Skills Desired: - Ability to perform **physically demanding outdoor work** in varying weather - Comfortable lifting up to ~50 lbs - Strong work ethic and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a small team - Previous farm experience is helpful but not required
