Local Food COVID Adaptations: Pearl Drive-Thru Farmer’s Market
NCAT’s ATTRA Agriculture Specialists are producing short videos to share what they are doing on our farms and homesteads, in hopes of giving people ideas for building food security and resiliency at home and in their communities.
Colin Mitchell discusses how his local farmers market in San Antonio, Texas, has adapted to a drive-thru farmers market format to provide local, sustainable food to the public under a shelter in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. He then takes you on a ride-along while he picks up his order from the Pearl Farmers Market Curbside service.
This workshop is produced by the National Center for Appropriate Technology through the ATTRA Sustainable Agriculture program, under a cooperative agreement with USDA Rural Development. ATTRA.NCAT.ORG.
